EVALUATION

The teacher will evaluate your team's overall performance in 2 ways. 1 is the lowest score and 3 is the highest score which you can obtained.

* You will be evaluated on your poster and short write-up that your team puts together. The major part of the evaluation comes from this section. You should try to score from this section.

* You will also be evaluated on how your team presents your poster and the message it sends across to the class.

Relevance of the poster

Score 1

Poster is not really very relevant to the topic. It's more like a display item only.

Score 2

Poster is quite relevant. Message from the poster can be deduced indirectly.

Score 3

Poster is very relevant. There is a strong message that can be deduced from the poster.

 

Creativity and appearance of the poster

Score 1

Poster is not attractive and creative. It looks plain and not appealing.

Score 2

Poster is nice-looking but the quality can be improved.

Score 3

Poster is very creative, attractive and creative. It is fascinating in the eyes of others.

 

Short write-up of the poster

Score 1

Write-up consists of minimal details about the poster and message. Did not cover much of the details that are required by the students to write.

Score 2

Write-up consists of most of the information that is required. However, certain points are missing.

Score 3

A detailed write-up stating clearly all the information that is required to be written on. Students may also include extra information that they know about deforestation.

 

Presentation skills

Score 1

Presentation is not well prepared. Message driven across is not clear.

Score 2

Presentation is quite well prepared. Message driven across is quite clear but can be improved on.

Presentation is very well prepared. Message driven across is very clear and extra information is given.

 

 

Explanation of Rubric

Relevance of the poster

Your poster will be evaluated according to its relevancy. The more relevant the poster is, the higher score you will get.

Creativity and appearance of the poster

Your poster must not only be relevant to the topic on deforestation, it must be creative and attractive as well. Similarly, more marks will be awarded to posters that are more creative and more attractive in their appearances.

Short write-up of the poster

Your teacher will look at the organization and details in your short write-up. You are required to include all the information that is required of you to write on. Please refer to the Process page to find out what you have to include in your short write-up. The more information you are able to provide the higher score you will get.

Presentation skills

Finally, you will be marked on your presentation skills during the presentation of the poster to your classmates. The more well prepared your presentation is and the clearer the message is driven across, your marks will be higher.
